It's a short drop, from where I stand
To where I touch the ground
But it's, so hard to get up, once I'm down
It's a long way, from anywhere
To the outskirts of this town
It's not lost of me, that I was lost when found
And it's a, straight shot to Paradise
From the muddy Mississippi
But it, takes a while to reach, the other side
And it's a, quick drive from L.A.
To the shores of the Pacific
And here or there, the stars come out at night
